A plaintiff sued his former estate planning attorney for damages he allegedly suffered from a divorce settlement involvlving a multi-million dollar estate. Because of the plaintiff’s age, Robert Juskie had to prepare the case for trial in less than three months. At the trial call, the court and counsel agreed to continue the trial to allow the defendant to file a motion for summary judgment based upon defenses developed during discovery. After filing the motion, the case settled for one-third of the initial demand.
