Alan Brubaker obtained a defense verdict on behalf of the ownership of the Hilton Stockton hotel in a case in which the plaintiff alleged age-related discrimination.  Plaintiff accused top level management of making explicit age discriminatory remarks four to six months before her demotion.  Following a four-day trial in Superior Court in San Joaquin County, the 12 member jury deliberated for 45 minutes before returning a unanimous defense verdict, finding no age-related animus or discriminatory motive in plaintiff’s demotion.
