Adding to Wingert Grebing’s success at trial, Jim Mangione prevailed on behalf of defendants California Surety Investigations, Inc. and Two Jinn, Inc before the Fourth District Court of Appeal.  In a unanimous ruling, the Court of Appeal held that substantial evidence at trial proved the defendants offered a former investigator a reasonable accommodation and properly engaged in the interactive process after receiving notice of his disability.  The appellate court also affirmed a finding that the former investigator should be sanctioned for not admitting facts about his physical ability to perform his job duties.  Colin Walshok assisted at trial and on appeal with the issue of sanctions.
