Colin Walshok recently obtained a successful verdict on behalf of his client a former Probate trustee. After a five day bench trial, the judge denied all of the objecting beneficiaries objections to an accounting, refused to surcharge the trustee and denied the objecting beneficiaries’ claims for attorneys’ fees and costs. The objecting beneficiaries sought more than $250,000 in surcharges and over $1 million in attorneys‘ fees. The judge awarded the objecting beneficiaries nothing and approved the accounting.
