Steve Grebing Obtains $159,000 in “Cost to Prove” Sanctions from the Court After Successfully Defending Claims Against the Firm’s Client at Trial

Steve Grebing successfully defended a commercial real estate firm against claims of misrepresentation and fraud made by a commercial tenant.  During discovery, Grebing sought key admissions from the tenant.  The tenant refused.  Following trial, Grebing moved the trial court for an award of fees and costs associated with the effort to prove the same key elements at trial.  The trial court granted the motion and awarded $159,000 in fees/costs.
