Chris Todd and local real estate expert Michael K. Ryan (CastleLyons Corp.) prevailed in full in an arbitration convened in front of American Arbitration Association arbitrator Carl lngwalson.  Mr. Ryan had provided consulting and expert witness services, premised on his 45+ years in the real estate industry in a hotly contested lawsuit in Mariposa County.  Under significant time pressures, Mr. Ryan had forsaken other work opportunities (he has now been an expert in most of California, and in five other western states) to assist his client in the Mariposa matter.  Invoices for services rendered, totaling about $25,000, were never paid by Mr. Ryan’s client.  Mr. Ryan and his corporation, longstanding clients of the firm, pursued relief pursuant to the engagement agreement before the American Arbitration Association.  Mr. Ingwalson, one of the longest-tenured AAA arbitrators in San Diego, awarded CastleLyons Corp. all of the fees owed by the Mariposa client, as well as all attorneys fees and costs.
