Benjamin R. Anderson

Ben is a trial attorney focusing his practice on personal injury defense and legal malpractice defense throughout California.  He represents individuals, businesses, and professionals.  His practice has led to numerous jury trials, involving car accidents, motorcycles, pedestrians, dog bites, trip and falls, and a wrongful death case that arose from a publicized murder where Ben obtained a defense verdict on liability for the Homeowners’ Association.  Ben also handles cases for the Special Investigations Unit for carriers, including projects investigating suspected fraud rings, bringing those to jury trial as well.

Before joining the firm, he worked in-house at a large insurance carrier.  Ben’s trial success led to him being a Co-Chair and instructor of an in-house trial skills program hosted annually and included dozens of attorneys from 8 west coast offices.  The program’s success led to an expansion nationwide where he helped launch it so all 38 litigation offices could continue to enhance their trial skills.

Ben’s trial experience earned him membership into the American Board of Trial Advocates (ABOTA), the premier invitation-only organization committed to preserving one’s right to a civil jury trial and doing so with professionalism, civility, and integrity.  Ben is a member of the San Diego Chapter.

He is also an instructor with the National Institute for Trial Advocacy (NITA) where he helps teach trial skills.  He further volunteers his time with the San Diego Inn of Court, assisting in their trial program.  He firmly believes that teaching is learning twice.

Ben is solar powered so when he is not working, you will find him outside with his kids, who keep him active with various sports all year.
