Katherine is a versatile defense litigator. Her diverse practice includes defending individual and corporate clients in challenging disputes involving catastrophic injury, traumatic brain injury, wrongful death, insurance bad faith, premises liability, and product liability matters. She has also successfully defended clients on various labor and employment law matters involving wrongful termination, harassment, retaliation, wage and hour claims, and claims brought pursuant to the California Private Attorneys General Act (PAGA).
Prior to joining Wingert Grebing, Katherine provided advice and counsel on both strategic and day-to-day employment issues to traditional labor matters for large hospitality and entertainment industry clients, including regular guidance on all aspects of the legal issues and implications of COVID-19 for employers and their workforce.
Katherine continues to obtain favorable results for clients at trial, arbitration, and by way of summary judgment and dispositive motions. She handles all facets of day-to-day case management including early case evaluations, drafting, and responding to discovery, witness interviews, taking and defending depositions, motion drafting, including dispositive motions, and communicating regularly with clients to ensure close, effective working relationships.
