Shawheen M. Khodapanah

Shawheen Khodapanah is an associate attorney at Wingert Grebing Brubaker & Walshok LLP.  Shawheen’s focus areas include defense of individuals, professionals, and businesses involved in litigation.  He earned his JD/MBA degree from the University of San Diego, where Shawheen served on the San Diego International Law Journal first as a contributing member, and again as a member of the Journal’s editorial board.  During his time in law school, Shawheen was recognized with the San Diego International Law Journal Excellence in Legal Writing Award for his contributions to the journal.  Shawheen also received multiple CALI awards during his time at the University of San Diego and was the recipient of the prestigious USD School of Law Honor Scholarship.  In business school, Shawheen participated as a member of the University of San Diego Leadership Fellows Program, where his leadership skills were acknowledged with the University of San Diego Leadership Award.

Prior to joining Wingert Grebing, Shawheen began his legal career representing clients impacted by catastrophic wildfires in Northern California, successfully litigating claims against Pacific Gas & Electric Company.  Shawheen then expanded his reach to litigate catastrophic wildfire cases against negligent utility companies nationwide, whose negligent operations inflicted billions of dollars in property damage and caused devastating loss of life.  Having represented plaintiffs prior to joining Wingert Grebing, Shawheen offers unique insight into plaintiff litigation tactics allowing him to defend his clients’ interests tactfully and efficiently.

In his spare time, Shawheen enjoys spending time with family and friends, relaxing at the beach, and staying active with his Siberian husky.
