Why Wingert Grebing Instead of a Large IP Firm
San Diego has nationally recognized IP firms—but volume-based staffing models and cost structures aren’t always aligned with a fast-moving copyright dispute. We offer direct attorney involvement, trial-proven insight, and a streamlined litigation approach focused on results, efficiency, and informed strategy.
Wingert Grebing operates differently.
We’re a boutique litigation-forward firm with attorneys who have handled complex copyright disputes, federal court actions, and business-critical enforcement matters without unnecessary overhead or bureaucracy. Clients work directly with experienced counsel, not a rotating cast of junior associates.
What that means for you:
- Predictable cost structure
- Lean, efficient execution
- Faster strategic decision-making
- Attorney access—not gatekeeping
- Litigation readiness from day one
Our approach is practical: protect rights, position leverage, and resolve disputes with the least disruption to your business.
Copyright Violations: Rights and Exposure
Copyright violations can result from misunderstanding, business disputes, online posting, or intentional copying. Consequences may include statutory damages, injunctions, asset seizure, and reputational impact.
We handle disputes involving:
- Unauthorized reproduction or distribution
- Software, media, and content misappropriation
- Licensing disagreements and breach of use
- Online publication, streaming, and platform-based infringement
Enforcement and Defense Experience
We represent both copyright holders and accused infringers. This dual-side insight improves negotiation leverage, litigation strategy, and courtroom positioning.
Our priorities include:
- Protecting the value of creative and proprietary work
- Pursuing efficient resolution where appropriate
- Preparing for trial when enforcement or defense requires escalation
